Astragalus membranaceus, commonly known as Astragalus or Mongolian milkvetch, is a perennial flowering plant, used as a traditional medicine. Astragalus root powder may assist in tonifying the lungs for frequent colds, maintaining a healthy immune system (immune potentiator and modulator), increasing energy and increasing resistance to stress.

Adhatoda vasica, commonly known as Malabar nut, is a medicinal plant native to Asia, widely used in traditional medicine. Adhatoda vasica leaf powder may assist with alleviation of breathing difficulties. As a bronchodilator it may help to ease breathlessness and bronchospasms.

Andrographis paniculate, also known as creat or green chiretta, is an annual herbaceous plant native to India and Sri-Lanka. Andrographis paniculate is used as a traditional medicine and may assist lowered immunity in acute and chronic infections. It is an immune stimulant rather than solely an anti-bacterial and may assist in treating influenza, upper respiratory tract infections and sore throats.

Scutellaria baicalensis, commonly known as Baikal skullcap or Chinese skullcap, is a flowering plant native to China, Korea, Mongolia, and Russia in the Russian Far East and Siberia. The root is used instead of the leaves as they are not strong enough for viral infections. The plant is a major broad-spectrum antiviral with a wide range of activity against viruses. It does have a fairly wide range of action against bacteria and some other microbes, but the effects are variable.

Skull cap root extract may assist with relieve of restlessness and nervousness and act as a sleep aid.

Cordyceps sinensis, commonly known as Cordyceps or Caterpillar fungus, is an entomopathogenic fungus mainly found in the meadows above 3,500 meters (11,483 feet) on Tibetan Plateau in Southwest China and Himalayan regions of Bhutan and Nepal. Cordyceps is valued in China as a traditional Chinese medicine. Cordyceps acts as a source of anti-oxidants for immunity. In Sfera products a Cordyceps sinensis extract of a 10:1 ratio is used with the purpose of enriching the anti-oxidant content.

Cordyceps is a potent immune-adaptogen. If immune activity is high, it reduces it. If low, it enhances it.

Cordyceps is not primarily an antibacterial, but is a systemic tonic and adaptogen. (But it still does have antimicrobial actions and active against some viruses.)

Ganoderma lucidum, commonly known as reishi mushroom or lingzhi, is a reddish brown kidney shaped cap mushroom with a history of use in traditional Chinese medicine. Source of fungal polysaccharides with immunomodulating properties. Reishi is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to assist in treatment of insomnia, forgetfulness, fatigue, listlessness and poor appetite. Reishi may act as an Anti-oxidant and may assist with liver wellbeing, immune support, energy and resistance to stress. In Sfera products a Ganoderma lucidum ethanol extract of a 10:1 ratio is used with the aim of enriching constituents with beneficial properties.

Lentinula edodes, commonly known as Shiitake mushroom, is an edible mushroom native to East Asia. Shiitake mushroom is source of fungal polysaccharides with immunomodulating properties and acts as a source of antioxidants. In Sfera products a 10:1 extract of Lentinula edodes is used, with the aim to enrich the polysaccharide content in the material.
