Mental Wellbeing
Mental well-being can be defined as our emotional, psychological, and social well-being states, influencing cognition, perception, and behaviour. Our mental well-being determines how we handle stress, relationships, and decision-making, at work, play, and more. Mental well-being is an integral part of our overall health, and it encompasses our inner workings and the way we describe how we are. It’s the knowledge that we are separate from our challenges and problems, and the belief that we can handle those challenges.
Types of mental well-being challenges could include:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Attention, focus and concentration issues
- Trauma
- Post-traumatic stress
- Anger management
- Panic
