The Sfera Collagen with L-Glutamine has been formulated to assist with gut healing and to support the digestive system.
Collagen plays an integral role in rebuilding and strengthening the lining of our digestive tract as it contains amino acids that are essential for its repair. Amino acids like glycine, proline and hydroxyproline are needed to repair and rebuild the endothelial tissue of the digestive system.
Bovine collagen provides type 1 and 3. Type 1 collagen form the structural and mechanical matrix of connective tissues. Type 3 collagen is found in large quantities in the intestines, muscles, blood vessels and the uterus. Collagen helps tight junction proteins do their jobs, allowing nutrients and water in and keeping unwanted particles out.
L-Glutamine is a naturally occurring non-essential amino acid, abundant in the human body, with important functions in protein synthesis and gut cell repair.
The combination of collagen and glutamine can assist in reducing intestinal inflammation by normalising the gut-immune response which can be depleted during times of stress-like trauma or inflammatory bowel conditions.

Directions
Take one (1) scoop (25 ml) daily with food or fluid or as directed by your health care provider. Highly soluble in cold water and can be blended with any types of drinks such as smoothies or juice. Collagen is heat resistant and can be added to soup, hot chocolate, or baked goods.
