Ocimum sanctum, also known as Holy basil or Tulsi, is an aromatic plant native to India and Southeast Asia. Tulsi is used as a traditional medicine and may aid digestion, stimulate appetite, increase energy, increase resistance to stress (e.g. in case of mental and physical fatigue related to stress) and act as a source of antioxidants. In Sfera products a high quality Ocimum sanctum methanol leaf extract, providing Ursolic acid contents of 2 – 3%, is used.
As its Latin name implies it is considered a very sacred plant. It is high in sattva imparting the quality of lightness and spiritual clarity. An excellent herb for lifting the heaviness of fevers, coughs and colds.
Lungs: Tulsi may help to clear mucus from the lungs and upper respiratory tract. Tulsi may help to treat fevers and flu by encouraging sweating and therefore bringing the temperature down. It may be used in asthma, bronchitis, rhinitis and other respiratory allergies. Tulsi have been shown to increase vital lung capacity and reduce laboured breathing.
Digestion: Due to the aromatic pungency, Tulsi may help to calm a fermentive digestive tract. It may help to increase appetite and is a good warming stimulant to the digestion.
Nerves: Can we used as a mild nervine for heightening awareness and mental clarity.

Directions
Take two (2) capsules per day after a meal, or as directed by your health care provider.
